State University in 1990; 1990 - 1993 postdoctoral fellow at the California
Institute of Technology; received a National Research Service Award from the
National Cancer Institute; 1993-1994 research associate at the Michigan
Molecular Institute where he developed biomedical uses of Starburst®
Dendrimers; 1996 forensic scientist for the Pennsylvania State Police in Erie;
joined GeneMedicine in The Woodlands, Texas; in 1999 he joined the vaccines
division of Chiron Corporation in Emeryville, California; semi finalist in
NASA group 14 selection; in 2001 joined Abgenix as a
senior scientist; employed by AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals / Medimmune from
October 2006 to August 2008 as a Principal Scientist II; joined Takeda
Pharmaceuticals in South San Francisco in Sept. 2008 as a Research Fellow; next
heworked at SKD Consulting as the owner and Principal Consultant of that
company; currently working at BiOptix in Boulder, CO as Vice President of
Chemistry and Biochemistry; hobbies: instrument flying and snow
skiing.
