Attended the U.S. Naval Academy 1952-1956. Olds enrolled at the University of
Michigan, earning two masters' degrees - one in Aeronautical and Astronautical
Engineering and the other in Instrumentation Engineering. In March 1968, aged
just 33, he was shot down over hostile territory and was listed as Missing in
Action (MIA) until May 02, 1978 when his status was changed to Killed in Action
(KIA). |
