Candidate of technical sciences degree, 1982; pilot and Colonel, Soviet Air
Force; was selected as cosmonaut on 28.10.1965 (TsPK-3);
OKP (cosmonaut basic training): 11/65 - 12/67; retired
of medical reasons; later was employed as a scientist at a research institute
of Ministry of Defense; died after a heart attack during a tennis match.
